All walks are private, and your dog receives dedicated attention from a trainer dog walker. Our walks provide physical and mental enrichment, give dogs something fun to burn off energy, and give them an outlet for all the doggy things: sniffing, exploring, and meeting other dogs (when appropriate). Reactive walks will accommodate the dog’s needs and limitations.
You can choose between 30min and 45min walks, and whether you need walks 2/3/4/5 times a week.
Monthly Subscription Rules
Payments are recurring and will be charged each month automatically, starting with the next billing cycle. If you need to pause the training walk subscription, please notify me at least a month in advance.
Sessions are scheduled for the same day(s) each week within a consistent time frame, agreed upon in advance. We will assign a 4-hour window for the walk. (For example: if your time window is from 11 am to 3 pm, that means your walk will happen anywhere within that time frame).
Your time slot is reserved for you and your dog for the entire month; no cancellations/rescheduling are available. If your dog can’t attend the session, the session is considered skipped. No make-up sessions for missed sessions.
Each session lasts 30/45 minutes and starts when a pet professional arrives at your doorstep. If your dog needs a shorter walk (for medical or other reasons), we will provide a quick potty break based on what we agreed with you. We do not offer make-up for shorter sessions.
In bad weather (heat waves, atmospheric rivers, etc.), the session may be shortened or held indoors. During extreme weather conditions when the “shelter in place” advisory is in effect, walks can be canceled without makeup.
If your dog has a medical emergency, we can pause your subscription. If you have a planned vacation of one week or longer, please let us know a month prior, so we can pause your subscription. If your pause is longer than 4 weeks, we may cancel your service, and you can reapply later whenever you are ready to restart.
No walks on major federal holidays.
Equipment for walks: harness and flat leash, preferably 10-12 feet. If your dog pulls, lunges, or darts, you may need a no-pull harness. Dogs with a bite history may need muzzle training. Dogs who consistently scavenge may need a muzzle or foxhood.
During the walk, we may film short clips or take photos of your dog. Those are intended as a report to you and will also be occasionally used for our social media or educational videos.
How does it work?
Start with an evaluation session.
We start with an evaluation walk to assess your dog’s current behavior and make sure we are a good fit. Dogs with good leash manners and that are dog- and people-friendly qualify for regular walks. Dogs that require management and extra oversight will need reactive/spicy dog walks.
During the evaluation session, we discuss your dog’s needs, preferred days and times, and answer all your questions. We may also do a short 10 min test walk to see how your dog does with a new person on walks.
For dogs with extreme reactivity (e.g., reacting to every dog, even from a distance) or severe fear and anxiety (e.g., refusing to go on walks or constantly stalling), we may recommend a training session with us first. After that, your dog can graduate to walks with us.
Establish the membership and start with walks
When you are ready to start walks, we will send a link to set up billing. We may also ask you to complete waivers and intake forms, and you’ll be good to go.
To gain access to your house, you can provide a key in a lockbox or a gate/door code.
All walks are in your neighborhood, and we always try to accommodate your dog’s daily needs.
We will use treats on walks, when appropriate. If your dog has dietary restrictions, please provide treats.
For communication, we’ll set up a group chat so you can receive quick updates on progress.
Who will be walking my dog?
Meet Noe! He is a Bay Area native, a dog walker trained in positive reinforcement methods, and experienced with reactive dogs in San Francisco, and he will walk your dog.
In his free time, Noe surfs in Pacifica, enjoys watching the Spurs or 49ers play, and hangs out with his dog and his companion parrot.
